Alesis Multimix 8 Usb 2.0 Drivers Mac
Well, I've been hunting around on the web and have been searching for this question on the forum but haven't found what I was looking for.
First, the system: iMac, OS 10.5.8
Software: Audacity 1.2.6
Hardware: Alesis Multimix 8 USB 2.0 (I've also installed the 1.6.6 drivers from the Alesis site).
So, here's the problem: I can get GarageBand 8 to recognize the drivers, but I also wanted to try using Audacity. When I go to set the Audio I/O preferences, I've got no option for the Alesis. In fact, my only choices are:
Built-in Microphone
Built-in Input
TonePort UX1 (I've had that about a year)
Soundflower (2ch)
Soundflower (16ch) (have no idea what these are)
Is there something I'm missing here?
Oh, and yes, I've got the AudioMidi Utility and the Sound System Preferences set correctly (as I said earlier, it works fine in GarageBand).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
